bg000Map user profile fields into content including picture and all other text fields
For the user profiles, bring the LinkedIn URL to a more prominent position and make that field mandatory with a checkbox under it "I do not have a LinkedIn profile" - if that checkbox is selected then the URL field allows blank to be saved. Same concept can be used with other fields also that are desired to be provided by the user - in some cases may be with just "Later" as the reason to allow blank submissions. If this is done in the user profile itself, then the registration for any expo is a click-thru with no extra information needed.
Add a location field and a headline to the user profile. Will be used when mapping that to the faculty and councils.
Add the following optional fields in the user profile for:
- I am passionate about...
- Topics of Interest (Hashtags)
- Competencies (separated by commas)
- Hashtags that describe you

- Site/Expo tags - only takes unique site codes as hashtags (ignores all else or does not allow anything else) filters to the specific site - if blank then search on that site will give no results; this is automatically applied as the first tag whenever a search is done - but this does not show up on the screen; give a checkbox next to this one captioned “ALL” - that will then make that open for search on all sites in that room (same as it does now) - so in effect it is unique site code or all that makes it searchable on any site
- Everyone - Public for non-account users - Topics, Owner, Brands, Authors, Tracks
- Account - Private for my account users only - only for intra-org language, mainly for functional use
- Unit - for my notesroom only
- Admin for admins only - for organizing content
Hashtags include Keywords
bg777Hashtags include Keywords by removing spaces. Consider if how the keywords will behave in this case - possibly the keywords will also be assumed as hashtags by removing spaces and adding the hash-sign before them. So keywords will also be deemed as hashtags itself.
If this is done then that will be useful in presenting search triggers in menu and HTML syntax.
Bulk Edit Tags
bg777This will help to keep hashtags harmonized across and will make it easy to adapt organizing the content and products at large - both for public, private and admin purposes. 3 columns:
- Add - add to existing set
- Delete - if there then delete it else ignore
- Replace - replace all tags; the entire set
Triggers

- Menus - hashtags trigger that search - useful to plot topics in the menu and that will always automatically reflect the search results - will also allow multiple hashtags (divided by space) - that will allow multiple hashtags to be true for the search
- Syntax and code to embed in the HTML - will trigger search with one or multiple hashtag search (much like the menu)
- Publish public hashtags on the product pages and content pages (optional yes/no) - clicking any one of those triggers a search of that
Use Cases & Benefits
bg777Makes search on sites more specific - it restricts pockets of content that can be shown as the site code is applied by default as the first hashtag in all searches and then the results are filtered only after that
Product attributes - role of classification councils can be extended to define hashtags alongside item categories to be used as finer filters; (we will publish these appropriately both on a classification page and also on product pages)
Topics - we will not need to any work on making, curating and updating topic pages across all expo or even on sites as these will automatically show those collections from across tracks
Filter by author - alongside the author names will can provide an icon with the syntax that triggers that search for more work by the author - similar to topics this will save significant effort on an ongoing basis
Our Blog - same as topics this will ease the reading threads for any user
Support Agent
bg000Users providing support to any premium member need to be added to the member account without being charged. The support agent might be a Hotlink employee or a partner.
Member will not pay for an additional user (it can practically double the cost of service for a single user account)
Site with Multiparty Sharing
bg000Similar to Expo where we can map other accounts and give them access to the Expo; content sites can also be enabled with this functionalities. Will be useful for channel portals etc.
In this regard, to protect revenues, we will need a feature of premium accounts only such that only paid users are added to secure portals.
