PARTY-WISE PRICING
- Mapping price lists to parties on a timeline: Setup unique one-to-one commercial contracts
- Once setup both the buyer and seller have a one-common reference point
DERIVED PRICING - DISCOUNTED PRICE LISTS
- Pricing for a party can also be setup as a discount on a list price
- This is efficient for many business scenarios where the agreed contract is not an absolute price but a price relative to the current price i.e. a discounted price list
- This reduces the effort to update at time of price revision - as the revised prices are automatically now derived from the new list price
- Use cases are dealer pricing
MANY -TO-ONE-PRICING SCENARIOS
- Mapping multiple price lists to one party by customer segment etc. on a timeline
- Scenario: Distributor ordering to replenish stocks based on segments like key accounts, dealers and sub-dealers
UNALTERABLE COPY OF CONTRACTS FOR BUYER PROTECTION ON EDITS
- Since the price lists are controlled by the seller, a copy of agreed price list is maintained which cannot be tampered with
- The current price lists and any edits in item master can be then validated against this unalterable copy of the price list
- Changes are accepted by the buyer from time to time to sync the unalterable copy of the contract - which once accepted is updated with most current information
